Dr. Kajsa Landgren, RN, PMHN, PhD, Assoc. Prof.

Senior lecturer and researcher at Lund University in Sweden, Dr. Landgren has authored several journal articles, as well as books on auricular acupuncture. She is part of an international team organized by IntegrateAuricular for the development of an interdisciplinary curriculum for auricular vagus nerve stimulation. The project goal is to further advance the use of evidence-based auricular methods in nationalized standard care — a goal Dr. Landgren is a passionate advocate for.

Bio | Dr. Kajsa Landgren, RN, PMHN, PhD, Assoc. Prof.

Dr. Landgren has presented at auricular-related conferences throughout the world with the mission of advancing evidence-based auricular stimulation approaches for expanded use throughout all of standard healthcare.

Dr. Landgren is specialized in psychiatric nursing, and is a senior lecturer and researcher at Lund University. She is also trained in acupuncture, and has practiced both body and ear acupuncture in private practice (TCM, NADA, and related auricular methods). Her doctoral thesis (2011) included articles on acupuncture in infants with colic, and Postdoc research included continued research on acupuncture in infantile colic, and on ear acupuncture in psychiatric care.

With co-authors she has published articles on experiences of standardized ear acupuncture by patients and health care professionals, as well as National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) protocols, and how complementary medicine is implemented in psychiatric care in Sweden.

Kajsa teaches ear acupuncture and has written textbooks on the subject: “Ear Acupuncture – a practical guide” (2008, Churchill Livingstone, Elsevier) and “NADA. Ear acupuncture for addiction and mental illness” (2023, self-published).
