Hans Bolck was among a team of coordinating members supporting the professional organization of the Gouda Academy in 2007, built on an original initiative founded in the 1970s by Ton van Gelder, physician, and Steven Hofman, psychiatrist, who brought together physician and therapists around auricular acupuncture.

Hans Bolck is a physio/manual therapist and acupuncturist with a private practice in Eersel, Netherlands. He received his basic acupuncture training at the Dutch Doctors Acupuncture Foundation (NAAS), where he also gained his main teaching experience. He has specialized in ear acupuncture and Auricular Medicine with training from Ton van Gelder, prof. Frank Bahr, Dr. med. Beate Strittmatter, and Dr. med. Manfred Reininger.

Hans Bolck trained as an acupuncturist at the Dutch Foundation for Physician Acupuncture (NAAS). Hans Bolck was independently associated with this foundation as a board member and acupuncture teacher. He now teaches at various other institutions in the field of (ear) acupuncture, physiotherapy and manual therapy. He also regularly gives presentations and lectures at further training courses and conferences.

In addition to his acupuncture training, he has specialized in Auricular Medicine, Auriculotherapy, and dry needling, which he has successfully integrated with his manual therapy practice.

Bolck is a member of the Royal Dutch Society for Physiotherapy (KNGF) and the Dutch Association for Acupuncture (NVA) (www.acupunctuur.nl) — an assurance of medical standards and the opportunity for possible reimbursement (potentially full or partial) by health insurance.
