Duvan Hoffmann, Director of Development | CIAM
This randomized preliminary clinical study indicates that Auricular Intradermal Acupuncture (AIA) adds considerable value to stroke patients, specifically, Brunnstrom stage III patients undergoing rehabilitation after stroke. In particular, AIA was found to improve extensor synergistic movement and acceleration in patients undergoing rehabilitation. It is to be understood that AIA is not a method in the practice of Auricular Medicine, however, studies such as this — involving Vagnus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) — show the impact that auricular stimulation can have.
