Auricular Acupuncture Stimulation Measured on Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Med Acupunct. Citation: (Alimi 2002, 18-21)

David Alimi at Neurosciences Society used Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) to demonstrate the direct relationship of auricular reflex zones (acupuncture points on the ear) to corresponding points on the body. Request the full paper on ResearchGate Reference:Alimi D, Geissmann A, Gardeur D. The Biophysics of the Vascular Autonomic Signal and Healing. Citation: (Ackerman 2001)

In an article by Dr. John M. Ackerman, the subtle energy research initiated by the orthopedic surgeon, Joseph H. Navach, MD, is highlighted. Work, that has focused on a dermal-vascular reflex to an autonomic nervous system response known as the Vascular Autonomic Signal (VAS). VAS palpation has been used for fifty years by thousands of physicians around the world as part of auricular acupuncture and auriculomedicine applications in, or supplementing, their clinical practice. The purpose of th...

Concordance observed between detection achieved by VAS and electrical differentiation. Citation: (Rouxeville 2000)

Prof. Serguei Timochevski achieved blind testing respective to the VAS with the Acus system he developed in November 1996. He observed a concordance between detection achieved by the VAS and electrical differential detection plus “a general concordance of 90% between detection by the Acus system and electrical detection.”  Reference: Rouxeville, Y. Analgesic Effects of Auricular Acupuncture for Cancer Pain. Citation: (Alimi 2000)

Owing to the fact that analgesic drugs do not always offer adequate pain relief, cancer pain is a difficult problem for clinicians. For over 30 years, auricular acupuncture has been used in pain treatment, and recently has been used for complementary treatment in cancer pain. The authors report results from auricular treatment in a series of 20 patients with cancer pain. Read published research.   Reference:  Alimi, D., Rubino C., Leandri, E.P., Brulé, S.F. Analgesic Effects of Auricular Acup...

Rapid narcotic detoxification in chronic pain patients treated with auricular electroacupuncture and naloxone. Citation: (Kroening 1985, 1347-1360)

In a research study published by Kroening and Oleson, the application of a rapid detoxification procedure for narcotics was provided to 14 chronic pain patients to support withdrawal from opiate pain medications — and help reduce or avoid the severe withdrawal signs which accompany detoxification in chronic pain patients taking high levels of analgesic medications. After first switching all patients to oral methadone, each patient received bilateral electrical stimulation to needles inserted ...
